The ice is out, spring fishing is getting started, and it’s time to think about summer calendars.
This summer’s Downeast Lakes Land Trust events are all posted at www.downeastlakes.org.
The History & Heritage Series has a full line-up, getting started May 19th with a book discussion of “Pulpwood and Guard Towers” by Jocelyn Curtis, jointly hosted by the land trust and the Grand Lake Stream Historical Society.
Families won’t want to miss this year’s Explorations and Adventures program, themed Animals, Books, and Children in Grand Lake Stream, and featuring visits from Maine children’s book authors and illustrators, along with great activities and outdoor adventures.
Don’t miss Grand Lake Stream, America, Guides Dinners, the Grand Lake Stream Folk Art Festival, the Downeast Lakes Land Trust Annual Picnic, or the West Grand Lake Race.
