Salmon Watching, Grand Lake Stream

This is a quiet season in Grand Lake Stream, but a nice time to enjoy the beauty of the place.

Fishing season ended a few weeks ago, but the salmon-watching in Grand Lake Stream is excellent.

They spawn in areas of loose gravel, and the clear waters of the stream make it easy to watch them swimming above their nests.  With several dozen salmon often in view, they also attract the attention of bald eagles.
