New Owner of The Pine Tree Store: Open House Jan. 4th

Laura Farrell is the new owner of The Pine Tree Store in Grand Lake Stream.  The store is an iconic fixture in the heart of the community, and important both to local residents, businesses, and visitors.  Laura has been coming to Grand Lake Stream for many years and is excited to run the store in this community.

She will hold an open house at the store on Wednesday, January 4 from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.  Laura is inviting everyone to come and share thoughts and ideas for the store.  Food and drink will be provided.  Friends and neighbors are welcome.

Kurt and Kathy Cressey have moved their pack basket business to the Bangor area, as noted in a Bill Green’s Maine video from WCSH Channel 6 earlier this year about The Pine Tree Store being for sale.

Laura is also a long-time supporter and volunteer for Downeast Lakes Land Trust, and was the first coordinator for our annual West Grand Lake Race (Sunday, August 5, 2012 will be the 8th Annual race).

We look forward to the store reopening after the holidays!
