The Downeast Lakes Land Trust (DLLT) is pleased to welcome Mr. Jeffrey Pierce as the newest member of DLLT’s Board of Directors. Mr. Pierce has a BA in English from the University of Montana and is currently a Residential Real Estate Broker for Mulkerin Real Estate in Portland, ME. As a young child, Jeff was introduced to the wilds of hunting and fishing through his father and mother, who also have a passion for the outdoors. Before becoming a realtor, Mr. Pierce held many exciting jobs, including working for a guide service Wyoming, a ranch hand in Montana, and a flight instructor in Florida. West Grand Lake holds a special place in his heart, which he explores from his remote camp. Jeff lives in Cumberland, ME with his wife and three children.
“Jeff brings a new and unique perspective to the DLLT Board,” said DLLT Executive Director David Montague. “Through his love of the outdoors and nationwide experience with the recreational and economic uses of the land, he has cultivated a deep appreciation for the balanced and multiple-use management practiced by DLLT.”
The Downeast Lakes Land Trust’s all-volunteer Board of Directors oversees all of the land trust’s work, and each director brings important skills, leadership, and a strong connection to the community. Volunteers are crucial to the important conservation work of DLLT, and their many hours of service support the heart of our mission.
