April 9, 2025
Dear Lakeville Community:
Time to think about spring and getting to camp! We want to let you know our 2025 maintenance plans for the portions of roads located within our Lakeville property. As you may know, this includes parts of the East Shore Road, Red Pine Road, Middle Road, Horseshoe Cove Road and Horseshoe Lake Road. (see map)
Travis Worster Logging, Inc. plans to grade the East Shore Road once in the spring around Memorial Day and again in the fall. The side roads will be graded once during the season.
If the Campowners’ Association or others plan to do any additional work, we ask that you notify us so we can coordinate efforts.
Our Lakeville management plan included the installation of three welded steel gates on the side roads of Horseshoe Lake Road, Wilson Drive and Narrows Road to protect them from excessive damage during mud season. At this time, we are deferring any installation of gates. We will notify you if our plans change. We also have no current plans to harvest in the Lakeville area.
It is our intent to be good tax paying landowners and partners in Lakeville and would like to be in regular contact with your community. We have a section on our website www.dllt.org under Roads Update that we keep current and will reflect when road work is being conducted. You are welcome to join us at our annual meeting on Sunday, July 27 at 12:00 pm in Grand Lake Stream.
Please reach out to us with your contact information, especially email addresses, and your interest in our property so we can be in touch with any further updates. If you have any further questions, please feel free to call us at (207)796-2100 or email info@downeastlakes.org.
Sincerely,
Lindsay Wheaton
Board President
