Join Downeast Lakes Land Trust for a Waterfowl Identification Workshop with special guest Woody Gillies on Sunday, Sept 25th. Woody Gillies has been interested in birds since his youth and is known as one of Washington County’s top bird experts.
Meet at 15 Water St. Grand Lake Stream, ME for part 1 where you’ll learn how to use field marks to identify popular species of ducks, geese, and other local waterfowl.
We will then venture out to the water for part 2 on a pontoon boat for a ride around lakes and streams to enjoy fall foliage and search for water birds. Bring binoculars! Woody will have his spotting scope and DLLT does have binoculars to share too.
Don’t miss this wonderful boat ride with Woody during the peak of fall migration!
Snacks, boat ride, and instruction are all included and FREE! To guarantee your spot on the boat and for more information, email Sarah Cote or give her a call at 207-796-2100.
