Guided Pineo Peaks Trail Hike

9:45 am - 11:45 am

Free, no registration required.

The Pineo Peaks Trail hike will be led by DLLT volunteer, Board member, and recreation enthusiast Lindsay Wheaton.

Meet at 9:45am at the Trust’s headquarters to travel to the trail together: 137 Milford Rd, Grand Lake Stream.

The Pineo Peaks Trail explores a remote section of the Community Forest located entirely within an ecological reserve. Your guide will lead you on a 1.3-mile hike (round-trip) up to Pineo Peak. The trail winds through mixed hardwood forest, climbing a ridge with partial views of West Grand Lake. Near the top, the trail forms a small lollipop loop, exploring unique geological formations of granite ledges, small crevasses, and extensive caves and rockfalls.
