Join us for a tour of two canoe shops and the Grand Lake Stream museum. Get a rare peek inside the workshops of Grand Lake Stream craftsmen Dale Tobey and Robert Gagner.  Visit with the boat builders and hear about the tradition of building square stern canoes and their use on the waters around Grand Lake Stream.  Learn about the craft of building canoes and the historical significance of canoes to the Grand Lake Stream guiding industry. You will probably hear a few guide stories from the past.

We are pleased the GLS Historical Society is cohosting this tour with us and we will conclude with Mike Brunner showing us around the GLS museum and Guides Wing.

The event will be led by two DLLT volunteers: Board member Lindsay Wheaton and Education Committee member Claire Grant. All ages are welcome to attend.
