Build a Duck House

Participants will build their own duck house! Then, you can take it home to put up in the spring.

DLLT will provide precut pieces and some tools for assembly along with lots of advice and suggestions too. An experienced duck house steward will share their stories and information about duck behavior, gestation, and leaving the nest. Details particular to Goldeneyes will be discussed. A handout on best location, when to put out, how to care for them, and placing cameras will be sent home with you.

Kids and adults are welcome to participate. This event is FREE, but please let us know you are attending so we can prepare enough materials. Register by sending an email to info@downeastlakes.org or call the office at (207)796-2100.
Limited to 15 duckhouses – one per family.
