With cooler weather, the crunch of leaves, and no bugs (yay!), autumn is the best time of year for hiking. On October 18th, join DLLT Education and Outreach Manager Colin Brown for a trip up to the highest peak in the Downeast Lakes Community Forest – a gradual, 500 foot climb on Wabassus Mountain. To view a trail map, click here! Take in partial views of the region’s many lakes, and catch a glimpse of the beautiful fall colors. Interested hikers will meet at the DLLT office in Grand Lake Stream at 2 pm to carpool out to the trailhead. For more information, please contact DLLT at (207) 796-2100, or email info@downeastlakes.org.
