DLLT Profiled On “Wild Maine” Radio Show

February 24, 2016

The Downeast Lakes Land Trust (DLLT) contributes to the local economy and environment in many ways.  With sustainable timber harvests, education programs, and numerous habitat restoration projects happening throughout the year, it’s important to let the general public know about the many benefits the Farm Cove Community Forest has to offer.

On February 13th, following DLLT’s “Winter Bird Walk,” DLLT Education and Outreach Manager Colin Brown joined WEZQ 92.9’s Bob Duchesne for an interview profiling Downeast Lakes Land Trust and the Farm Cove Community Forest for Duchesne’s radio show, “Wild Maine.”  Riding along the snow-covered Fourth Lake Road, the interview discussed some of the many opportunities available in the community forest, such as birding, hunting, fishing, boating, and other forms of recreation.  “Wild Maine” also touched upon some of DLLT’s history, habitat restoration projects, and upcoming events.  The entire show can be heard here!
