Downeast Lakes Land Trust is pleased to share exciting changes in board leadership that reflects both continuity and strength. After exemplary service as President during a complex period of transition, Lindsay Wheaton has chosen to step down from the role and will continue to serve on the board of directors, ensuring the trust continues to benefit from her experience and commitment.
Stepping into the presidency is Dale Tobey, a longtime board member and Grand Lake Stream resident. Dale brings deep knowledge of the community forest and its traditional uses—insight that is central to the land trust’s mission and day-to-day work.
Ken Grant will assume the role of Vice President, adding significant development and organizational expertise to the leadership team. His commitment to Downeast Lakes Land Trust and tireless efforts on its behalf strengthen the board as it looks ahead.
Together, this leadership transition positions the trust well for continued stewardship, community connection, and future growth.
